Tangentflow vs Testimonial.to (2026)
Tangentflow vs Testimonial.to for video testimonials: recording, consent, reminders, display, pricing, plus an honest look at who each tool suits best.
Updated Other products checked on 10 min read
Both tools help you get video testimonials out of happy customers. They are built for different halves of the job. Testimonial.to is a full testimonial platform: it collects video and text testimonials, imports praise from social and review sites, and shows it all on your website with a Wall of Love and embeddable widgets. Tangentflow is a collection tool built around an AI agent: it sends the request, keeps the customer on track until the video, rating and signed release are in, checks what arrives, and delivers the files to you. It does not display anything publicly.
This page sets out the differences as plainly as we can. Every Testimonial.to claim links to the page on its own site where we saw it, checked on October 27, 2026. Prices change, so follow the links before you decide.
Who each is for
Testimonial.to suits businesses that want to collect testimonials and publish them from the same place. Its home page describes "A no-code page you share via link" where customers can "Record a video" or "Send in text", a "Wall of Love embed" you add with "a one-line snippet", and the ability to "Pull existing praise from X, LinkedIn, Reddit, G2, Yelp, Google, TikTok and more" (testimonial.to). A "Smart inbox" lets you "Read, tag, approve, reply" to every testimonial in one place. If you already have praise scattered across social media and review sites and want it on your homepage this week, it fits well.
Tangentflow suits businesses that struggle to get the video recorded in the first place, or that need a clear written record of where each video may be used. Customers open one private link with no account and no app, on a phone or computer. They record on the page with your questions on screen, a countdown, a preview and a retake, or upload a video up to 500 MB. They add a 1 to 5 star rating or a written review, and sign a usage rights release that lists each use separately. The AI agent sends the invitation, answers questions, and reminds them toward your due date. You get the files as a ZIP, or on Pro in Google Drive or through a webhook, and you publish wherever you already do. See video testimonials and testimonials use case.

Pricing, as listed
On October 27, 2026, the Testimonial.to pricing page showed:
- Free, $0 a month: "2 video and 10 text testimonials (total)", a public testimonial page, Wall of Love widgets, white-label widgets and unlimited X and LinkedIn imports.
- Starter, $25 a month: unlimited text testimonials, "2 video testimonials (total)", social and review imports, white-label widgets and a custom domain.
- Ultimate, $50 a month per space: unlimited video and text testimonials, Brand Monitor with 2,000 mentions, 1,000 automated invitations, eGift cards, Google rich snippets, REST API, MCP, webhooks, Zapier and team members.
- Ultimate +, $95 a month per space: adds case study collection, NPS surveys, the AI testimonial video editor, 5,000 Brand Monitor mentions, 3,000 automated invitations and unlimited team members.
- Enterprise: custom pricing.
The page has a toggle between monthly and yearly billing, so check which period a price refers to before you buy. One thing worth noticing if video is your main goal: the page lists 2 video testimonials in total on both Free and Starter, and unlimited video starts at Ultimate.
Tangentflow has two plans. Free is $0 with one open request at a time, files kept 7 days, and the full AI agent on your first request so you can collect one testimonial end to end. Pro is $29 per month for unlimited requests, bulk sends of up to 100 customers, Google Drive and webhook delivery, and files kept up to 60 days. There is no per-space charge. See pricing.
Where Testimonial.to is the better choice
You want testimonials on your website without building anything. Wall of Love widgets are listed on the Free plan, and the embed works with "any no-code platform (Webflow, WordPress, you name it!)" (testimonial.to). Tangentflow hands you files; putting them on a page is up to you.
You already have praise all over the internet. Testimonial.to imports from X, LinkedIn, Reddit, G2, Yelp, Google, TikTok and more. Tangentflow only collects new submissions through its own link.
You want text testimonials at volume. Starter includes unlimited text testimonials. If most of your customers will write a line rather than record, that is a lot of coverage for the price.
You want editing, monitoring and SEO extras. The higher plans add an AI testimonial video editor, Brand Monitor for mentions, Google rich snippets and NPS surveys. Tangentflow has none of these.
You rely on integrations. Zapier, a REST API, MCP and 100+ listed integrations give you more ways to route testimonials than Tangentflow's Google Drive and webhook delivery.
Where Tangentflow is the better choice
Your problem is getting the video recorded at all. Most testimonials are lost between "Happy to!" and an actual file. Tangentflow's agent sends the link, answers "how long should it be?" or "can I redo it?" in the on-page chat or by email, and paces reminders toward the date you set, never more than one email a day and never during quiet hours. When something is outside the checklist, such as a request for a discount, it hands the conversation to you.
You need a clear record of where each video can run. The built-in release lists each use, such as website, social, paid ads and case studies. The customer ticks the ones they agree to, types their name and signs, and you get a signed PDF filed with the video. That makes it easy to see later that a clip was approved for your website but not for paid ads. For what a release should cover, see our guide to a UGC and testimonial usage rights release.
You need videos in a specific shape. Set vertical, horizontal or square, a minimum and maximum length, and 720p or 1080p on each item. The file is checked as soon as the customer picks it, before it uploads, so a sideways or too-long video gets fixed on the spot.
You want to know what was said before you watch. The audio of videos up to 10 minutes is transcribed and checked against your questions, and up to three quotes are pulled out for your landing page or sales emails.
A take needs redoing. Ask for changes on that one file and the agent reopens only that item and follows up for the new version.
You collect more than video. One request can hold a video, a star rating, a written review, before and after photos (checked for blur and light) and the signed release. A camera-shy customer can skip the video and still leave a rating and a few lines.
You want a flat monthly price. Pro is $29 a month for unlimited requests, with no per-space charge.
Using both
The two tools are not mutually exclusive. Some businesses use Tangentflow to run the ask, the reminders and the signed release, then upload the finished videos to the place they publish from, which may be their website, YouTube, or a display tool. If you go this route, keep the signed PDF with the video so anyone on your team can check what each customer allowed.
Which to choose
Start from the part of the job that is failing today.
- Customers say yes but never record, or you can't tell what each one agreed to: Tangentflow. The agent does the chasing and the release records consent per use. Try it on one customer for free.
- You have plenty of testimonials and need them on your site: Testimonial.to. The wall and widgets are the point of the product.
- You want to pull in reviews from X, LinkedIn, Google or G2: Testimonial.to.
- You need vertical 9:16 clips at 1080p with a hard maximum length for social: Tangentflow checks the specs before upload.
- You want editing, rich snippets and brand monitoring in one subscription: Testimonial.to's Ultimate or Ultimate + plans.
If you are weighing more than these two, our video testimonial software comparison covers VideoAsk, Vocal Video and Senja as well. For the process itself, read how to collect video testimonials, and for wording, our testimonial request email templates.
A word on rules: the FTC's 2024 rule on consumer reviews and testimonials bars fake reviews and paying for a particular sentiment, so ask for honest ones. This isn't legal advice; check the rules that apply to you.
Frequently asked questions
Does Tangentflow have a Wall of Love or website widget?
No. Tangentflow collects the videos, ratings, written reviews, photos and signed permissions and delivers them to you as a ZIP, or on Pro to Google Drive or a webhook. It does not host public pages or widgets. Testimonial.to lists Wall of Love widgets on its Free plan on its pricing page.
Do customers need an account with either tool?
Not with Tangentflow. The link opens in a phone or computer browser with no account or app. Testimonial.to describes its collection form as "A no-code page you share via link" (source).
How long can a video testimonial be?
In Tangentflow you set the minimum and maximum length on each item, and transcripts and quotes are produced for videos up to 10 minutes. Uploads can be up to 500 MB. Testimonial.to's help center lists a maximum of 2 minutes on Free and Starter and 5 minutes on Ultimate and Ultimate+ (source).
How does each tool handle permission to use a testimonial?
Testimonial.to shows a consent statement you can make required, optional or hidden, with a default that covers "social channels and other marketing efforts" (source). Tangentflow has the customer tick each use separately (website, social, paid ads, case studies), type their name and sign, and produces a signed PDF.
Can I send testimonial requests to a list of customers?
Yes, with both. Tangentflow Pro sends to up to 100 customers from a spreadsheet, each with their own private link, and the agent runs every request. Testimonial.to's T.E.A. accepts a CSV of names and emails on Ultimate and Ultimate+ (source).
Can I try Tangentflow before paying?
Yes. Free is $0 with one open request at a time, and your first request runs with the full AI agent, so you can collect a complete testimonial with a signed release before deciding. See pricing.
