These terms cover the TangentFlow web app (tangentflow.com) and the TangentFlow mobile apps ("the service"). By using the service you agree to them. They're short, because the service is simple.

The service

TangentFlow is a personal task board. It is provided free of charge, with no ads. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your content

Everything you put into TangentFlow is yours. We claim no ownership or license over your boards, tasks, or photos beyond what is technically required to store encrypted data you ask us to sync. You can export your data at any time.

Your responsibilities

• Don't use the service to store or share content that is unlawful.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other people's data.
• Keep your recovery code safe. Synced boards are end-to-end encrypted; if you lose all your devices and your recovery code, your data cannot be recovered — by design, not even by us.
• Back up anything you can't afford to lose. Export is always one tap away.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data — particularly data lost through a forgotten recovery code, a deleted local app, or an unexported local board. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service (which is zero).

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account and data at any time from within the app. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll update this page and the date above. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept them.
