llms.txt is a one-page brief for assistants: what you are, who it is for, and the pages worth citing. This fetches yours and checks it against the spec. If there is none, it drafts one from your homepage.
What this checks, and why it matters
llms.txt is a plain-text file at the root of a site, written in Markdown, that tells an assistant what the site is, who it is for, and which pages are the canonical sources to cite. The convention starts with an H1 name, a one-line summary in a blockquote, and short sections of links.
The checker fetches yours and validates each part: title, summary, sections, absolute links, length, and that it is served as text rather than an HTML page. If there is no file, it drafts one from your homepage's title, description and key links so you have something to edit and publish.
Keep it short and link out. Depth belongs on the pages themselves; llms.txt is the map.
